From the Kitchen of Janet Cuddigan
Summer is a perfect time to break out your slow cooker. It keeps you and your kitchen cool (no standing over a hot stove or heating up the kitchen with your oven). A surprising combination of root beer and pulled pork topped with your favorite BBQ sauce makes this a delicious sandwich.
Ingredients:
2 pound pork tenderloin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle root beer
1 (18 ounce) bottle your favorite barbecue sauce
8 hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted
Directions:
Place pork tenderloin in a slow cooker; pour root beer over top.
Pork and root beer in a slow cooker.
Cover and cook on Low until pork shreds easily, 6 to 7 hours. (The actual length of time may vary according to the individual slow cooker.)
Serve on hamburger buns.
