Boys Town announced the opening of a new office at 25th and L St in South Omaha. The office will serve the community by providing a more convenient location for family support services. Many of the clients it served in area the past had transportation issues. The new office will provide a place for supervised visits of children who are in the juvenile court system or in foster care. A grand opening for the North Omaha office will be held later. In making the announcement of this expansion of services Boys Town also recognized the need for mental health and early intervention for troubled youth. After many years of expanding services in other areas of the country, this is expansion of services to underserved areas of our community is welcome.
