Getting Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits can be a long, drawn-out process. When you want someone to help you with your claim for disability benefits, what are you looking for? Many people in Omaha and the surrounding area have chosen Cuddigan Law to help them recover benefits. Here's why:
Years of Experience Handling Disability Claims
For his entire legal career Sean Cuddigan has focused exclusively on winning Social Security and VA benefits for people who have disabilities. He joined Cuddigan Law, a family run firm, as a law clerk in 2005 and was admitted to the bar in 2008. He represents Social Security clients in Nebraska and Iowa and VA clients nationwide as an accredited VA attorney.
As a highly skilled advocate, he assists clients with filing initial applications, he files appeals on their behalf, and he vigorously represents them at administrative hearings.
“The biggest enjoyment I get out of practicing law is making a difference in my client’s life. There is no greater sense of accomplishment than to help a client get ready for a hearing, win the hearing, and to help the client get the financial support and medical benefits that they need. A lot of my clients really struggle during the disability process and it makes me happy to see them smile after they win their case.”
Growing up in a small town in Nebraska, Kim Schram developed lifelong values of hard work, loyalty, and compassion. As a lawyer since 1995 and exclusively practicing Social Security disaability law since 2005 these values have served her well in her in fighting for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
“I wanted to be a lawyer because I wanted to help people,” she explains. “I enjoy practicing in the area of disability because I feel like I am doing just that. The clients that I see are people that have worked hard most of their lives and because of an illness or accident they become unable to earn for themselves and their family. I see people that are suffering with health, employment, and financial issues. The process takes a long time to navigate so the stress on individuals and families is extreme. Stress not only for the individual client, but extended family and friends that are helping that individual client survive.”

Reasonable Fees
We do not earn fees unless we are successful in your claim for benefits. In SSDI and SSI cases, payments to attorneys are limited by law to no more than 25% of back payments due and there is a cap on the fees which limits the amount of the fee. For any cases favorably decided the cap—the maximum fee—is $9,200. You pay the lesser of 25% of back payments or the cap amount. We do not receive any percentage of future disability benefits.
