Should I Wait For a Denial?
It can take some time to be approved for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI) benefits. In this time, there can be a number of setbacks along the way. It is not uncommon for the Social Security Administration (SSA) to deny an applicant's initial application. It is estimated that approximately two-thirds of all applications for SSDI benefits are denied in the initial stages.
