On July 17, 2013 SSA finally issued a press release on the Supreme Court's decision on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA.) according to Omaha Council Bluffs area Disability lawyer. SSA in its press release indicated it was preparing rules and instructions for its emplyees. The press release also encoraged applicants who thought they were eligible for benefits to apply.
