A new inpatient facility opened today at Boys Town main campus, that will serve children and adolescents with severe mental illness. This facility is for those who need intense therapy and will have classrooms. The program will provide 34 beds for those at risk for suicide or risk of harm to others Unlike the rest of the Boys Town campus which has units for children living with a family, this program is for youths who are not able to live in a family atmosphere because of their illness .Funds for the construction of the new hospital were provided by members of the local business community.
