The implementation of the Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare, has been the subject of much political rancor. However one feature, that is already in effect and helping people, is the ability of young adults, under age 26, to have continued coverage under their parent's health insurance. This benefit is available because most insurance companies made it available. As a Social Security lawyer in Omaha each month I meet with several families and their young adult child who say that they are so thankful that treatment and medication is available. This is especially true for families whose loved one is living with a mental disorder
